Lala Kent shared a cryptic message about fake friends after hinting that she’s quitting “Vanderpump Rules.”
“The faker you are, the bigger your circle will be. The realer you are, the smaller your circle will be. These are well-known facts,” read the quote that Kent, 31, reposted on her Instagram Story on Wednesday.
While the reality star didn’t explicitly say the post was about her castmates, she shared it mere hours after slamming them in an explosive episode of her podcast following the recent “Vanderpump Rules” Season 9 reunion taping.
“I left that reunion feeling not much resolve. I left feeling a bit alone and isolated,” she said on “Give Them Lala.”
“I’ve been on this show for six years. I’ve changed a lot as a person — no one can tell me otherwise. … But after that reunion, I sat back and thought, ‘Is this the space for me anymore or do we need to do some soul-searching?’”
Kent went so far as to say that if Bravo renews the series for a 10th season, she might throw in the towel.
“[If] tomorrow they call me and say, ‘We’ve been picked up,’ I would take a big pause because I don’t know if that’s the space for me anymore,” she admitted.
It’s unclear why the reunion was so hard for the author, as it has not aired yet, although her October split from her fiancé of two years, Randall Emmett, was likely a hot topic.
Kent shared on her podcast that she “was visibly upset” on set and only got support from Raquel Leviss, who is also going through a breakup with co-star James Kennedy.
“I didn’t hear from one person on my cast except for Raquel to say, ‘Hope you’re doing OK [after the reunion],’” she claimed. “That was very telling for me.”
However, Kent’s castmate and on-again, off-again friend Scheana Shay denied that was the case, tweeting on Thursday, “Interesting bc I txt and checked in w her shortly after filming.”
“Vanderpump Rules” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
