The Los Angeles Rams are adding another marquee player to their star-studded roster.

The Rams are finalizing a trade to acquire eight-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Von Miller from the Denver Broncos, Miller’s agent confirmed. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Broncos would receive second- and third-round picks in 2022 in return.

Miller would join three-time NFL defensive player of the year Aaron Donald to give the Rams one of the most accomplished pass-rushing tandems in league history.

Selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft out of Texas A&M, Miller became an instant phenom for the Broncos. He was selected as Super Bowl MVP in the 2015 season, leading the franchise to its third title with a win over the Carolina Panthers. He exits as the organization’s all-time leader in sacks with 110 ½, a figure that ranks best among all active players.

Miller was inactive for the Broncos’ win over the Washington Football Team on Sunday with an ankle injury.

Denver started the season 3-0 and but lost four straight before ending its skid.

The Rams, meanwhile, are tied for the NFL’s best record at 7-1 and are poised to make another sizable splash after adding the likes of quarterback Matthew Stafford and cornerback Jalen Ramsey via trades in recent years.

Miller would be set to make his debut for Los Angeles in prime time next Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

Upon completion of the trade, Los Angeles will have sent off its top four picks in the 2022 draft after including its first-round selection in the Stafford swap with the Detroit Lions. The Rams are due a third-round compensatory pick, however, after the Lions hired Brad Holmes as their general manager.

The deal would be the second between the teams in a week, as the Rams sent linebacker Kenny Young to Denver last Monday.

The NFL’s trade deadline is at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
